The cease and desist letters have begun. Erika Kirk — Charlie Kirk's widow — and Turning Point USA have sent a formal defamation demand to Colin Scott Campbell, also known online as Project Constitution, over posts falsely accusing her of recruiting girls for Jeffrey Epstein.

The letter is detailed and damning. It documents a pattern of specific false claims Campbell made across multiple posts: alleging Mrs. Kirk's charity "partnered with the specific orphanage and the specific base commander at the center of the underage brothel allegations." Claiming a normal quote about young women was "the language of a predator identifying the very demographic she was allegedly tasked with managing and exploiting." Publishing what he called a "smoking gun" DOJ wiretap audio — then being forced to retract it when it was proven the woman on the recording was not Erika Kirk. And then — after issuing the correction — leaving the original false post up and continuing to traffic in the lie anyway.

The legal standard here is clear. Campbell was put on notice that the audio was false. He corrected it. And then he kept the original up and 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 — posting that even though the voice wasn't hers, she was "still GUILTY nonetheless." That is textbook actual malice. The letter makes exactly that point: any further false statements after receiving this notice will be made with full knowledge of their falsity.

The letter is signed by attorney Paul Edgar Harold. It demands immediate public correction and removal of all false statements. It also includes a full evidence preservation order — covering personal cell phones, tablets, all email accounts, text messages, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, iMessage, calendar data, and documents in shared drives. They are building a case.

I'm told this is the first of several such letters going out. The people who have spent months fabricating child trafficking allegations against a grieving widow — including throwing gasoline on these lies as recently as this week — have been allowed to dig themselves into a legal hole. That hole is now being documented, preserved, and prepared for litigation.
