Umm freedom to worship doesn’t mean you are protected to serve on government councils. At no point did he tell her she can’t practice her faith or try to stop her from doing so. To suggest this is an attack on her religious freedom is nonsense.

That being said, going into an operation like this, in which Israel is are primary and apparently only ally, does not leave room for internal criticism and tension. If Trump wanted her out, his authority to do so is there.
