We moved from Oregon to Tennessee two and a half years ago. I was a lifelong Oregonian. The large cities have areas of old counterculture hippies. Very liberal. Homelessness and crime are not discouraged. A lot of these people are mentally ill and aggressive. My son’s business was broken into twice (They moved 5 years ago out of Oregon) I tell people Oregon is a beautiful state, many nice people but terrible politics and complacency. I would never send children to public school there, I grew up in that system and the education was terrible.
