10/30/25: Lately I’ve been thinking about how Paul said “the fruit of the Spirit,” not “fruits.” It’s singular for a reason. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, they’re not nine different things I can pick from depending on my mood. They’re one fruit, one cluster, all connected to the same root: the Holy Spirit. And that’s convicting, because I’ve caught myself trying to “work on” one or two, trying to be more patient, or a little kind... like it’s a self-improvement affirmation thing. But fruit doesn’t grow by trying harder. It grows by staying connected to the vine. Jesus said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” If I’m not seeing much fruit, maybe it’s not about effort at all, it’s about connection. The Spirit grows what I can’t. My part is to stay close through prayer, through His Word, through obedience. When I walk with Him, the fruit shows up naturally, not perfectly, but real. One fruit. Many flavors. All from Him. https://truthsocial.com/@crashconnell/115464115782958045
