She immediately called it “treasonous conspiracy” to undermine Trump’s 2016 election victory, naming officials like James Clapper, John Brennan, Susan Rice, and Barack Obama. Gabbard sent these documents to the Justice Department for criminal referral, asserting they reveal a politicized effort to delegitimize Trump’s presidency.
President Trump himself also publicly stated all involved are guilty of treason and should be in jail for their high crimes. CIA Director John Ratcliffe, in a July 27, 2025, Fox News interview, suggested that further exposed intel on Brennan, Comey, and Clinton could lead to prosecutions, referencing his own referrals to the DOJ.
