Forensic analysis report by CyberPoint

On June 10, 2013, CyberPoint’s main forensic examiner issued an email to CBS and its security experts titled “URGENT.” The email confirmed that CyberPoint had obtained “definitive evidence” that there was an “unauthorized third party” that had accessed Sharyl Attkisson’s computers and run commands. The email stated that what was “even more concerning” was that the commands were “standard fare for a remote user trying to learn about the network configuration of a system” and “this history has been securely removed,” “deliberately,” from the hard drive.
