▫Sheriff: Sex offender, accused rapist has third victim, facing 19 more charges
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office announced additional charges against Level 1 sex offender Ryan Pontello, 33, of Clay, N.Y. on Thursday morning.
The Sheriff's Office said it and the District Attorney's Office found a third victim whom Pontello sexually assaulted. This victim, a 3-year-old girl, was known to Pontello. The office said the alleged crimes are believed to have occurred in January. He was arrested for the incident on June 18. This arrest comes less than two weeks after deputies arrested him on June 9.
As a result, Pontello was charged with the following: Three counts of sexual abuse in the first degree (Contact with victim under 11 years old); Five counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child; Five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child; Use of a child in a sexual performance.
