Officials learned the victim had been walking along a road near Willamina and accepted a ride from Cory Ryan Williams and a female passenger.
According to YCSO, the victim was taken to a wooded area and sexually assaulted by Williams. Officials said the female passenger was not present during the alleged incident.
The day after the reported assault, deputies said they learned Williams was hiding out in the Nestucca River Recreation Forest and “attempting to leave the area discreetly.”
