NORTH BEND, Ore.- The North Bend Police Department arrests two people, but not before they ate a good meal.
According to the police department, an unexpected guest turned up to City Hall, where the city was hosting its annual Thanksgiving Potluck.
The man said he was there to “retrieve personal items”.
He was offered a plate of food while he waited for assistance.
Turns out that personal item was a backpack filled with a large amount of heroin.
The man, along with his female companion who was waiting outside, were arrested, as she had outstanding warrants.
But the police department says they got some food in their bellies before heading to jail.
